About Us

Hairy Hides was born out of a unique opportunity we saw at our family-owned butcher shop. Every day, we were left with byproducts from custom livestock butchering – organs and hides that many customers opted not to keep. Due to current laws, we cannot sell these items to other humans, but we are able to sell them for pet consumption. This realization led us to create Hairy Hides Dog Treats, turning these often-wasted by-products into healthy, delicious treats for your furry friend. 

The organ meats we use are the same fresh, locally sourced meats that go into hundreds of customers' freezers every day – the only difference is that we give them to dogs. It’s just as fresh, natural, and ethically sourced as the meat you’d purchase from your local butcher. Our hide treats are unlike anything else on the market – no chemical baths, no toxic additives, and no cheap, bleached rawhide. We simply use two non-toxic elements in processing: water and air.
